Announcement of elections to the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University
or the term of office 2023–2026, including the schedule of tasks and deadlines
Dear colleagues, dear academic staff, and students of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University,
in accordance with the Election Rules of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of the MU (hereinafter referred to as the "Election Rules"), I hereby announce elections to the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of the MU (hereinafter referred to as the "Senate") for the term of office from September 1st, 2023, to August 31st, 2026, and establish this schedule of tasks and deadlines:
- April 26th, 2023: publication of the election announcement in the application of the Information System of the Masaryk University E-elections (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") and on the website of the Faculty of Science of the MU.
- no later than May 2nd, 2023 (inclusive): generation of non-public name lists of members of individual constituencies through the Application.
- from May 2nd, 2023 to May 23rd, 2023 (inclusive): acceptance of candidacies by the Electoral and Mandate Commission of the Senate (according to Article 9 of the Election Rules)
- no later than May 28th, 2023, but no earlier than May 25th, 2023: publication of election programs and declarations of candidates in the Application and on the MU Faculty of Science website. Establishment of a discussion forum with candidates within IS MU.
- from June 5th, 2023, to June 18th, 2023 (inclusive): voting (according to Article 11 of the Electoral Rules) via the Application.
Elections are organized and managed in accordance with the electoral rules by the Electoral and Mandate Commission of the Senate. For communication with this committee, use only electronic mail sent through the Information System of Masaryk University to the e-mail address volebni.komise@sci.muni.cz (Article 1, paragraph 3 of the Election Rules).
I believe that you will use this opportunity to exercise your right to influence the future direction of our faculty, either by your own candidacy or by electing your representatives in the highest representative body of the faculty's academic self-government.
